Harrisville Getaway
The Lake Huron coastline is known as the “Sunrise Side” of
Michigan. The “Sunrise Side” extends from the Mackinac
Bridge in the north all the way to Port Huron in the south.
One of the most beautiful sections of the “Sunrise Side” is
in Alcona County where Harrisville, Michigan is found.
Harrisville is home to the original Michigan Quilt Block
Trail, Harmony Weekend the second largest arts and crafts
street fair in Michigan, Negwegon State Park with its
wilderness trails and mysteries, a famous Wine and Food
festival, wineries, historic lighthouses and on and on.
A 3 Day Getaway to the northern
“Sunrise Side”.

preserved the look and feel of times gone by with deep
silent forests, fantastic lake views and unmatched natural

of what can be found here. The Quilt Block Drive meanders
all over the county. When approaching Harrisville you will

many of the local businesses. A map is available at
Hollyhocks in downtown Harrisville.

Road, one of two scenic byways in Michigan. This drive
starts at Lake Huron in downtown Oscoda and follows the Au
Sable River all the way to Route 65. River Road Scenic
